The Senior Artists Judged Competition winners were announced Sunday May 3, 2009 at the Opening Reception for the show. The competition was open to all area residents that had reached the age of 60 by May 1, 2009. The quality of work entered into the competition is outstanding. The public is urged to come by and see all of the fine art through out the month of May.

1st Place on right is James Teague with his watercolor “Nature’s Wonderland”

2nd Place winner is Elaine Pelkey-Herrick with her acrylic “Shrimp Boat”.

3rd Place winner is Oskar Neuhold with his digital photography “Yellow Roses”.

Honorable Mention winners are Judy Madren with her oil “Grateful Bounty” and not pictured Jane Jones with watercolor “Spring”. The judge for the competition was Glenda Spruill who made comments about each of the art pieces that she selected. The comments are posted with each of the works as they remain on display throughout the month of May 2009.
